Note: These terms are in draft and are subject to review by a UK solicitor before the public launch of Beerscope.
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Beerscope mobile application and the website at beerscope.co.uk (together, "the Service"), operated by Animo IT Limited ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use Beerscope. The Service relates to alcoholic beverages and is not intended for anyone under the legal drinking age. By registering, you confirm that you are 18 or over.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when registering. You may not transfer your account to another person.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abusive behaviour, or misuse the Service.

The Beerscope application, its design, the species catalogue, Taxa voice content, and all related materials are the intellectual property of Animo IT Limited or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our written permission.
Species data is derived in part from Open Food Facts, which is made available under the Open Database Licence (ODbL). Any redistribution of that data must comply with the ODbL's share-alike requirements.
Brewery names, logos, and product names are the property of their respective owners. Beerscope does not reproduce brewery logos or claim any affiliation with breweries whose products appear in the catalogue.
When you submit an unknown barcode or suggested beer name for catalogue review, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use that information to improve the catalogue. You confirm that your submission does not infringe any third-party rights.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the catalogue is complete, accurate, or up to date. Species information is for entertainment and personal interest purposes only and should not be relied upon for any commercial, legal, or safety-critical purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Animo IT Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which, for a free service, is nil).
You may delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these terms.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
